During rainy days, short circuits may occur in your gadget due to humidity. Many small parts may get damaged or the gadget’s battery may swell. To avoid this, keep silica gel packets with you. Keep silica gel packets in a drawer or wherever you keep gadgets. These packets will continue to draw moisture from the air. If you live in a sea area then it would be better for you to buy a ‘dehumidifier’. ADehumidifier is an air filter-like gadget, which works to eliminate humidity from the air. This keeps the air clean and apart from electronics, other wooden and metal items in your house including your furniture also get rid of rust or fungus. The risk of injury is reduced. • Avoid charging when voltage fluctuates
Be a little careful while charging your gadget during the monsoon. Voltage fluctuations and power surges are very common during monsoon, which can cause gadgets to blow up while charging. Keep expensive gadgets like computers, and laptops connected to UPS at least during heavy rains. Also, keep a power extension with one or two surge protectors in the house, which can regulate the voltage when the voltage fluctuates. If necessary, charge the gadget only with the help of such surge protectors.
● Get servicing done during monsoon
Although cleaning and maintenance of gadgets should always be done from time to time, before or during monsoon, definitely get your gadget maintained at a service centre. If there is dust accumulated inside your gadget, then those dust particles will rain inside itself and will trap moisture from the weather, which will be fatal for your gadget. You can clean your gadget yourself by using a microfiber cloth, brush or strong air or you can also take the help of a professional for this.
● If the phone gets wet, keep it in a rice box
Apart from all this, use a waterproof cover to protect the phone during the rainy season. Also, do not charge your gadget with any poor-quality charger in this season. Always try to keep the gadget in a place where there is minimal possibility of moisture. In case the phone gets wet, switch it off and keep it in a rice box for 24 hours. Also, never charge the phone. Don’t try at all, just by taking care of some small things like this, you can keep your gadget ready for monsoon.
