Content Policies Overview
1. Illegal Content
We do not permit content that is illegal, promotes illegal activities, or violates the legal rights of others.
2. Intellectual Property Abuse
Content must not infringe on copyright. We respond to notices of alleged infringement in compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). We also prohibit the sale or promotion of counterfeit products that imitate the trademark of genuine brands.
3. Dangerous or Derogatory Content
We do not allow content that:
• Incites hatred or discrimination against individuals or groups based on characteristics such as race, religion, disability, age, nationality, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
• Harasses, intimidates, or bullies individuals or groups.
• Advocates for physical or mental harm to oneself or others, including promoting violence or terrorism.
• Exploits others through extortion or similar means.
4. Animal Cruelty
Content that promotes cruelty or violence towards animals or sells products from endangered species is not allowed.
5. Misrepresentative Content
Content must not misrepresent information about the publisher, creator, or the content itself, nor falsely imply affiliations or endorsements.
6. Unreliable and Harmful Claims
We prohibit content that makes false claims undermining electoral processes, promotes harmful health misinformation, or contradicts established scientific consensus.
7. Deceptive Practices
Content should not entice users under false pretenses, attempt to steal personal information, or use deceptive claims for products or services.
8. Manipulated Media
We do not allow content that misleads users through manipulated media regarding politics or social issues.
9. Enabling Dishonest Behavior
Content that helps users mislead others or promotes hacking, tracking, or surveillance without consent is not allowed.
10. Sexually Explicit Content
We prohibit graphic sexual content, non-consensual sexual themes, and the promotion of sexually explicit material, including deepfake pornography.
11. Compensated Sexual Acts
Content that appears to promote sexual acts in exchange for compensation is not allowed.
12. Mail-Order Brides
We do not permit content facilitating international marriages, such as mail-order bride services.
13. Adult Themes in Family Content
Content aimed at a family audience must not contain adult themes, including sex or violence.
14. Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation
We strictly prohibit content that exploits or abuses children and will take appropriate action, including reporting to relevant authorities.
Behavioral Policies Overview
1. Dishonest Declarations
Information provided for using Google advertising systems must be accurate and complete, without misleading omissions.
2. Ads Interfering with Content
Google-served ads must not interfere with content consumption, such as overlaying or obstructing navigation.
3. Inventory Value
Ads must not appear on screens lacking publisher content or with low-value content.
4. Out of Context Ads
Ads must be placed where users’ attention is expected to be on the associated publisher content.
5. Replicated Content
Google ads must not be placed on screens with copied content without adding value.
6. More Ads than Content
Screens should not have more ads than actual publisher content.
Privacy-Related Policies Overview
1. Personalized Advertising
Do not target personalized ads or collect audience data from users under 13 years old or from sites directed at children.
2. Privacy Disclosures
Publishers must have a privacy policy that clearly explains data collection and sharing practices.
3. Cookies on Google Domains
Publishers must not set or modify cookies on Google’s domains.
4. Identifying Users
Do not use methods that enable user identification without consent, and comply with the EU user consent policy.
5. Use of Device and Location Data
If collecting geographic location data, publishers must disclose this to users and obtain their consent.
6. COPPA Compliance
If using Google services on child-directed sites, notify Google and avoid interest-based advertising for users under 13.
Requirements and Standards Overview

Do not place ads on screens that violate Google’s spam policies.

Google products are not available to publishers in certain sanctioned countries, including Crimea, Cuba, Iran, and North Korea.
